| Radiology Department of Punjab Dental Hospital, Lahore was established in 1930. It was designed to cater the radiological needs of oral and dental patients. Department became functional with X-rays machines for Periapical , OPG and Cephalometric images.Later on, latest digital X-ray kept adding in the array of its radiological tools, which the department is successfully operating. | ||||
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery |

It’s the field of dentistry which deals with surgical procedures for the treatment of oral/dental diseases, traumatic and developmental defects involving both the function and aesthetic aspects of hard and soft tissues of oral and maxillofacial regions. UndergraduatesThe department trains undergraduates of 3rd and final year to have the basic knowledge of the field. Students complete a total of 12 weeks of clinical duty in the department and accomplish their clinical requirements. House OfficersComplete their 4 weeks of clinical duty in the department during which they learn and perform surgical procedures on the patients to improve their skills in the field. PostgraduateOral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) is a specialized field of dentistry. The department is recognized for postgraduate training in the field. They are also actively involved in the academic sessions like article discussion, seminars and symposium. FCPS and MCPS are the postgraduate programs which run under the hospital adminstration. |

House OfficersComplete their 4 weeks clinical duty in the department during which they learn and perform diagnosis and treatment planning of orthodontic patients to gain knowledge in the field. PostgraduatesThe department is recognized for postgraduate training in orthodontics. Postgraduates students are actively involved in the academic sessions like article discussion, seminars, symposium and treatment planning sessions.FCPS and MCPS are the postgraduate programs which run under the hospital adminstration. |

This field of dentistry is primarily concerned with treatment of dental caries, periapical diseases, malformed, discolored or fractured teeth and replacement or repair of existing restorations. The treatment restores proper tooth form, function and aesthetics while maintaining the physiological integrity of teeth in harmonious relationship with adjacent hard and soft tissues. UndergraduatesThis department trains undergraduates of final year to have the knowledge of this field.They rotate for 8 weeks each in conservation departments for adults,paeds and crown& bridge department House OfficersComplete their 16 weeks of clinical duty in the department during which they learn and perform diagnosis, treatment planning and management of the patients to gain competency in adult operative dentistry, paedodontics and crown& bridge. PostgraduatesOperative dentistry is a specialized field of dentistry which has sub categories of endodontics, paedodontics and crown and bridge. The department is recognized for postgraduate training in the field. They are also actively involved in the academic sessions like article discussion, seminars and symposium. UndergraduatesThe department trains the undergraduates of 3rd and final year to have the knowledge of this field. Students complete a total of 8 weeks of clinical duty in the department in each year and accomplish their clinical requirements.
